Exit Mentor – Help consultants figure out what's next (because you've already done it)
You survived the 80-hour weeks and made it to the other side. Now help other MBB and Big 4 consultants do the same. As an Exit Mentor with Consultant Exit, you'll work 1:1 with current and former consultants who are stuck, curious, or ready to make a change—helping them get clarity, explore paths, and make the leap. This isn't interview prep. It's the real talk that comes before.
“At Consultant Exit, we don't just help consultants find their next jobs—we help them figure out what they actually want in their career and life.”
Responsibilities
You'll work directly with consultants navigating their exit from MBB or Big 4 firms.
Work 1:1 with clients to help them get clarity on goals and explore exit paths
Share real talk about your own transition—what worked, what didn't, what you wish you'd known
Help clients think through networking strategy and evaluate opportunities
Guide them through the identity shift that comes with leaving consulting
Set your own schedule with an average of 5–10 hours per week
Honor scheduled sessions—no cancellations or reschedules
Qualifications
To mentor others through the exit, you need to have done it yourself.
Former full-time consultant at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, PwC, or KPMG
At least 1 year at the firm before you exited
Successfully transitioned into a new path—tech, startups, corporate strategy, PE/VC, entrepreneurship, or something else
Comfortable in a flexible, low-structure, remote environment
Genuinely energized by helping high-performers figure out their next chapter
Benefits
We handle the business side so you can focus on mentoring.
We send clients your way (no sales or acquisition on your end)
Access to our frameworks and session materials
Scheduling and booking handled for you
Promotion as part of the Consultant Exit mentor network
Why join Consultant Exit?
We've helped 200+ consultants land leadership roles at companies like Google, Amazon, and Salesforce. Now we're building a mentor network of people who've made the leap and want to help others do the same. If you're the person your former colleagues already reach out to for advice, this is a way to do more of that—with support.
